This is the website of Okamoto Orimono Inc., which has dedicated over 100 years to advancing and preserving Nishijin-ori brocade techniques in Kyoto. They utilize BASARA.
We are a group of artisans weaving Nishijin-ori. While we’ve begun developing sales channels, we lack time for sales visits. Therefore, we operate this website to help people worldwide learn about Nishijin-ori. We hope you’ll learn about our many artisans and develop an interest in Nishijin textiles.
BASARA makes adding content easy and allowed us to create both Japanese and English sites. While we use an external service for e-commerce due to security concerns with our own systems, we utilize it as a platform for product introductions.
Building the content framework was challenging, but we’ll nurture this handmade website with plenty of love.
This beautiful site harmonizes BASARA’s Japanese-inspired design with the elegance of Nishijin-ori brocade. Features like the header slider and vertical text display throughout make it an ideal design for expressing Japanese tradition and beauty.
