The Temari Library website, which provides a picture book lending service, uses RIKYU.
A newspaper distributor in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, offers free picture book lending.
Previously, transactions involved paper cards or phone calls, but we developed this system thinking online applications would be more convenient. While RIKYU is primarily an e-commerce theme, we adapted it specifically for this free picture book lending service.
As of July 2025, the library holds 750 books.
We organized them by age category and tagged them by author
to make it easier for users to find books.
We also enriched the picture book introduction blog to help parents choose books.Even beginners can easily build a stylish site, and daily updates like swapping books or blogging are simple, making it very manageable and helpful.
Illustrations are used throughout to evoke the world of picture books. Being able to borrow books at home is a wonderful service for families with young children.
Even with a large collection, the mega menu provides a visually clear display, making it easy for users to find the book they want.
