This is the website for “Budo Books.” It is a specialized brand dealing in Japanese martial arts books, operated by a team of foreign martial arts enthusiasts residing in Japan. The site was created using ICONIC.
Although it is not an e-commerce site, we selected a theme that gives it an e-commerce-like appearance.
While martial arts encompass various disciplines like kendo, judo, and karate, this site employs silhouette images symbolizing each martial art in its mega menu, creating a visually intuitive design. Even those unfamiliar with martial arts can intuitively understand the offerings just by seeing the silhouette images.
