The Kyoto Machiya Gallery “Gensoan” in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, has adopted KADAN for their website.
As a traditional Kyoto machiya gallery and rental venue, we structured the site to feature interior photos of the machiya while conveying its atmospheric charm. We also created pages clearly explaining usage methods and fees for the rental venue.
KADAN was chosen because 1) we believed it would effectively showcase the Japanese aesthetic, and 2) we felt it could present Gensoan’s services in a simple and clear manner.
The header slider on the first view and images throughout the site effectively convey the charming atmosphere of the Kyoto machiya. Furthermore, adding animations like zoom-in and zoom-out to the slider images enhances the visual appeal.
