This is the website for Byakkoan, a vacation rental cottage in Yuda Onsen. It utilizes ISSUE.
We created the homepage for Byakkoan, a vacation rental cottage located in Yuda Onsen, Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Since Yamaguchi City was ranked third in The New York Times’ “52 Places to Go in 2024,” we’ve implemented multilingual support (multisite) to accommodate international visitors.【Reason for Choosing the Theme】
To showcase various ways to enjoy Byakkoan as a travel base, the website introduces recommended nearby sightseeing spots and activities.
Although ISSUE is primarily designed for recruitment sites, we chose this theme because it seemed well-suited to incorporate these two post types effectively.【Key Design Focus】
We used a loading animation to depict the “White Fox Legend” – the origin of the “Yuda Onsen” place name – in a paper-theater style.Since the site launched recently, we’re very excited to see the reactions from guests who will stay at Byakkoan.
The stylishly designed homepage, featuring elements like “scroll content,” delivers strong visual impact and effectively conveys the vacation rental’s appeal. Information sections like “ACTIVITY” and “Sightseeing Spots” are also richly detailed, making visitors eager to explore.

Additionally, the “ACTIVITY” section utilizes the custom “Staff” post type. The detail page effectively showcases the appeal of activities by combining images and text.
